Maximum Medical Improvement
What is Subacute Trauma?
The Subacute Trauma Program developed by Advanced Diagnostics Healthcare System is the only one of its kind in the Southwest region. It was created to help patients who have suffered a traumatic event or injury, such as an auto accident or a work injury, and have been treated and released by a trauma center. Our Subacute Trauma Program is the resource that patients can turn to for the next phase of care — an injury treatment plan that helps them achieve their Maximum Medical Improvement. Our program is the quickest and most efficient path to a patient’s best health following a severe trauma.
A Burdensome Journey. Subacute trauma injuries often require multiple treatments from different specialists, adding to the complexity of care. Our Subacute Trauma Program has a better way.
What’s the Advanced Diagnostics difference?
An injured patient who’s released from a trauma center is far from recovered. While the life-threatening injuries have been addressed, other non-life-threatening injuries remain, and they often are yet to be identified. Led by a Physician Coordinator in conjunction with a case manager, the Advanced Diagnostics Subacute Trauma team assesses the patient’s injuries head to toe and develops a customized treatment plan to help their patient reach their Maximum Medical Improvement. We also utilize leading edge diagnostic technologies on site for patient assessment — such as the powerful MRI with Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), which is far more sensitive than conventional imaging modalities. Our specialists collaborate using their specialized expertise to determine the achievable results and then coordinate their services to deliver the right care at the right time. And they continually reassess the patient’s progress at every step.
Patients, their families and their representatives all benefit from the results achieved in the Advanced Diagnostics Subacute Trauma Program. By reaching the best possible outcomes they also achieve the Maximum Medical Improvement.
